Sukhumvit Hospital has been in operation for over 40 years. It was originally a hospital for the American military, named Fifth Field U.S. Army Hospital. It was established and officially opened on February 25, 1977 with a capital of 5 million baht, 110 beds, and an area of over 9 rai. It was one of the first private hospitals in Bangkok. Today, it has been exactly 40 years. However, Sukhumvit Hospital has only one building that accepts patients for treatment in the hospital, which is a 5-story building. This building has been renovated, reducing the number of patients it can accommodate to 72 beds.
