Paolo Chokchai 4 Hospital, or Paolo Siam Hospital (formerly known as Siam Medical Company Limited), was incorporated in June 1970 by Dr. Rasami Wannisorn and eight other investors with a registered capital of 5.5 million baht.
It was the first private hospital in a developing country at the time, opening its doors to patients on January 9, 1970, with 25 beds. Driven by the management team's ideology and commitment to quality service, in 1973 the hospital expanded its bed capacity from 25 to 50 to accommodate more patients.
